Who does mindmelt work best with?

Our clients are owner-managed businesses, mid-sized companies and growing operations - businesses where someone gets up in the morning and thinks: this is mine, I'm going to make it better. What makes you and your agency different?

We spot things others miss. Not because we're smarter - because we actually listen. There's often a gap between what a business shows the world and what it really is. Closing that gap is what we do.


How did your career develop?

It started with a commercial apprenticeship. Working across sales, marketing and as a webmaster, I quickly saw how closely those disciplines connect. I went on to head up marketing at a software company, then set up on my own as a graphic and web designer. Today we work with owner-managed businesses and growing companies - including some well-known brands.


You have over 25 years of experience. How has that shaped you?

More than anything, it's shown me that success isn't accidental. It comes from clarity, authenticity and the willingness to try a different approach. I've learnt to look at the people and the business behind the brand - whether that's the client themselves or the audience they're trying to reach.


What drives you?

The moment a client says: people finally get what we do. It sounds simple. It isn't. That's what we work for.


What can clients expect when working with mindmelt?

Honesty, commitment and results. Clients know I put everything in - no off-the-shelf solutions, no shortcuts. I listen, I understand the challenge, and I share responsibility for the outcome with them.

How do you see the future of your industry?

Large traditional agencies are on the way out. Production and routine work are being automated. Clients are handling more in-house - through digital tools or AI. The future belongs to smaller agencies and consultants who keep the bigger picture in view, stay close to the project and close to the client.


What sets you apart from other consultants or agencies?

I work in advertising, but not in the conventional sense. I understand people, systems and processes. I connect strategic thinking, design and sales processes with real technical depth. Clients sense that I genuinely want to make things happen.


You take ownership. What does that look like in practice?

We don't wait to be told what to do. We think things through that clients shouldn't have to worry about - technical, strategic, commercial. And we stand behind it. With our name on it. With results to show.


Many people assume sales means pushing people towards something they don't actually want. How do you see it?

For a long time I thought sales had to be either brilliantly creative or rigidly systematic. Then it clicked: the best results come when you're genuinely focused on the other person - not out of obligation or strategy, but because you actually enjoy helping businesses get noticed. That shift changed everything. Clients feel it. The rest tends to follow. That's what drives me today.


What do you enjoy most about your work?

Watching a vague idea turn into something concrete that actually works - for the client and their audience. Seeing our work move the needle and deliver real results. That never gets old.
